ABOUT
Candace Gunnarsson
Dr. Gunnarsson owns Gunnarsson Consulting, LLC, a boutique health economics and outcomes research practice. She designs Coverage with Evidence Development studies, builds real-world evidence strategies, and develops manuscripts for pharmaceutical and medical device companies, with a focus on Medicare claims-based research in structural heart disease, heart failure, and cardiovascular outcomes.
She founded S² Statistical Solutions, Inc., a Cincinnati consulting firm specializing in data mining, statistical analysis, and economic analysis for pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device companies. CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services, a global CRO, acquired the firm in 2013, and she served as CTI's Vice President of Health Economics and Outcomes Research.
She has taught graduate and undergraduate statistics at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati, and played an essential role in developing, launching, and teaching Xavier's Master of Science in Health Economics and Clinical Outcomes Research. Her work has appeared in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and she has been an invited faculty member at the Amputation Prevention Symposium.
Her memoir, 26.2: Running Toward Acceptance, is coming in 2027, and she speaks to leadership teams and women's networks on what it takes to keep the people who carry the most.
